Share a recording

Every recording becomes a share page at a short URL you can paste anywhere. Viewers watch in the browser — no account or install required (unless you've restricted the recording).

When you stop recording, CaptureFlow copies a share link to your clipboard right away. Open it and you'll see the share viewer: the video with a poster thumbnail, the title, and the activity sidebar.

Visibility

Each recording (and snap) has a visibility setting you control from the desktop app, the dashboard, or the share page itself:

VisibilityWho can watch
PublicAnyone with the link.
PrivateOnly you (and signed-in teammates you've granted access).
WorkspaceMembers of your workspace.

If someone without access opens a restricted link, they're prompted to sign in or request access.

On the share page

The viewer includes:

  • Playback with a generated poster image.
  • Reactions — quick emoji responses.
  • Comments — threaded discussion in the activity sidebar.
  • View count — how many times it's been watched.
  • Summary chapters — auto-generated chapter markers to jump around longer recordings.
  • Download — grab the original file (subject to visibility).

Edit a recording

From the dashboard or share page, open the editor to rename the recording, adjust its visibility, or manage it. Titles can be auto-suggested, so a fresh recording isn't just "Untitled."

Manage everything from the dashboard

The web dashboard is your home base:

  • Shares — all your recordings, with quick visibility and link actions.
  • Snaps — your screenshots (see Snaps).
  • Members & workspaces — invite teammates, manage roles, set who can upload.
  • Devices — the signed-in recorders on your account.
  • Settings & profile — workspace name/logo, access policy, your profile.
  • Storage usage — how much of your quota you've used.
